A roadmap for the board

GLA Board Policies

The Covenants establish requirements and define the GLA Board's responsibilities. For example, Covenant 8.01c states, "The Association intends to maintain a private road system within the platted road easements for vehicular access to the various parcels within the Community." The 2025 Road Policy guides the Board in carrying out the road maintenance responsibilities described in Covenant 8.01.

Policies provide methods for implementing existing provisions of the Covenants and Land Use Master Plan. They should explain how the Board will carry out those provisions without creating new restrictions or exceeding its authority. Whether a new rule requires a landowner vote depends on the governing documents and applicable law. Policies should be reviewed by legal counsel and adopted through the required Board voting process. Subsequent Boards may revisit, revise, or rescind earlier policies, subject to the governing documents and applicable law.
