Change is inevitable
GLA Governing Documents Committee Minutes
What does the GLA Governing Documents Committee do? The Governing Documents Committee helps the Board review the GLA's Articles of Incorporation, Covenants, Bylaws, and Land Use Master Plan and consider improvements as the community's needs change. Its work includes identifying unclear language, conflicting provisions, and outdated procedures, gathering landowner input, and recommending changes for consideration. The committee works within the authority granted by the Board; it cannot change the governing documents on its own. Proposed changes must follow the notice, voting, and approval requirements that apply to each document, including landowner approval when required. Under Article VI of the Bylaws, the committee must keep minutes recording attendance and actions. Please join our Governing Documents Committee meetings to share your ideas and help develop clear, understandable documents that guide our community's future.
